Elysian Vacation Rentals was founded in 2023 by Kason and Chessney Fornes in Stephenville, Texas. What began as a single vacation rental gamble quickly transformed into a local favorite through their hard work and hands on approach. Now, Elysian is proudly serving Stephenville, as well as all of Erath and surrounding counties!

Kason and Chessney’s story began at Tarleton State University, where their love of travel and their beloved pets brought them together. After college, Kason and Chessney ventured to Fort Worth to establish their careers – Kason leveraging his Economics and Business degrees, and Chessney putting her double major in Business to work. But roots run deep, and in 2021, they were drawn back to Stephenville, where they wed in 2022.
Their homecoming wasn't just about returning - it marked the start of their entrepreneurial journey. Their first project? A fixer-upper with historic charm – a 1920s Victorian that, after their meticulous renovation, garnered a coveted feature in Country Living magazine! This success sparked their passion for property revitalization, and they haven't looked back. They've since tackled a few more fixer-uppers and currently manage a handful of long-term rentals.
Witnessing the success of their own Stephenville short-term rental ignited a desire to share their expertise and help others achieve similar results. This passion, coupled with their deep roots in the community (both their families have called it home for three generations), is the heart of Elysian.
Today, with the arrival of their son, Koston, their commitment to their community and their industry has only grown. They're driven to ensure your vacation rental thrives in the place they cherish – their Texas home.
