D'Vine Wine of Granbury sits right in the Historic District and ferments more than 20 varieties on site, and you can taste a flight, build your own blend, and bottle it with a custom label to take home. It is a fun, hands-on couples activity that turns into a souvenir. For something more rustic, Barking Rocks Winery is a small-batch winery in an old rock barn just outside downtown, pouring handcrafted Texas wine in a quiet countryside setting. Barking Rocks keeps limited tasting-room hours, usually Saturday afternoons or by appointment, so check before you go.

Prefer spirits? Sledge Distillery is about 10 miles out and opens on Saturdays for tastings and tours, turning a World War II family moonshine recipe into small-batch spirits.

Afternoon — Wander the Square

Spend the afternoon on foot. The Historic Granbury Square is one of the best-preserved courthouse squares in Texas, ringed with boutiques, antique shops, galleries, and wine bars in century-old buildings.
