Welcome to The Howdy House — a family- and pet-friendly 3BR home with a massive private backyard, game room, and fire pit. Perfect for Parents Weekend, graduations, game days, or a fun Stephenville getaway.
Inside, you'll find a cozy living room, smart TV, fully equipped kitchen, and themed décor celebrating Stephenville’s cowboy roots, the famous 2008 UFO sightings, and Tarleton pride.
Step outside to a huge, fenced backyard featuring a gas fire pit with Adirondack seating, string lights, gas grill, oversized Connect 4, cornhole, soccer goal, and even a roping dummy — the ultimate setup for game night or starlit BBQs. The game room includes a 3-in-1 table (pool, ping pong, air hockey), dart board, board games, oversized Jenga, and bar-height seating.

July 2026Wow - what an awesome place to stay! The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and included everything you could possibly want! Extra "white noise" fans for every bedroom, amazing bedding & mattresses, fully stocked kitchen for cooking, wash cloths in the bathroom for "makeup" (so you don't feel bad washing your face with a white wash cloth lol), washer & dryer, plenty of games to keep the teenage kids entertained, walking distance to Tarleton, and plenty of restaurants & activities only minutes away. Would highly recommend this house to anyone and will definitely be our first choice next time we're in the area!

July 2026This was the perfect Airbnb for a quick overnight stay while we were passing through Stephenville. The house was absolutely spotless, and the air conditioner worked amazingly—it kept the house nice and cold. The backyard was large, the bed and bedding comfortableand and the entire home was immaculate...We felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. We would definitely stay here again the next time we're passing through Stephenville. Highly recommend!

July 2026Four of us stayed at the Howdy House for a week during a work trip, and it was the perfect place for us. The home had everything we needed, and the kitchen table gave us a great space to spread out, collaborate, and get work done throughout the week. The linens were unbelievably soft and made it easy to unwind after long days. One of the bedrooms had a fun space theme that sparked quite the conversation and we even found ourselves researching UFOs around the kitchen table one evening! It added a unique and memorable touch to an already wonderful stay. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped place to stay in Stephenville, we highly recommend the Howdy House. We’d definitely stay here again!

June 2026We had a quinceañera in Dublin and Stephenville was close. The house was just as described. We had a wonderful time. We did not get to enjoy the backyard or the fire pit, because most of the time we were visiting relatives or going somewhere, but the yard was big and beautiful. We would definitely come back.
