Welcome to The Paluxy, a fully rebuilt 3-bedroom home you can walk to campus from. Tarleton State begins right across the street, the Administration Building is half a mile, and Memorial Stadium and the EECU Center are both an easy 0.8-mile walk. Park once and leave the car there all weekend.

This house was taken down to the studs and put back together. New electrical, new plumbing, new water heater, new flooring, new drywall and paint, and new beds, linens, and towels throughout. It is a 1935 Stephenville house and it still feels like one in the best way, with the gentle roll of a pier and beam floor underfoot and the kind of room proportions you only get in a house built this way.

Three bedrooms sleep six, and every bed is a real one. A king in the back bedroom with its own door straight into the bathroom, plus two queen rooms. The bathroom is the surprise of the house: a double vanity, a big glass walk-in shower with a rainfall head and a handheld, and marble-look tile floor to ceiling.

Out back the yard is fully fenced and bigger than you expect this close to campus, with mature shade trees and crepe myrtles along the fence. A gravel patio holds a gas fire table ringed with six Adirondack chairs, and the gas grill sits just off the back door with propane hooked up and ready on both. Out front there is a porch swing and a green door you cannot miss.
